Items for sale include beautifully carved wooden animals, hand-crafted jewelry, scarves, purses, clothing, baskets, and more!

100% of the proceeds fund Sam’s Place, a Kenyan orphanage for Deaf children.

The Seasoned Skillet food truck will also be at the sale.

Quarry Field Trip

Field trip to a local Kisii stone quarry to see the stone being dug from the ground and follow it through the process of becoming beautiful carvings for sale. Students will take photos of the process and learn to upload and edit photos when they return to campus.

Team members from South 11th and Willis Church of Christ in Abilene are holding a garage sale at the church building. All proceeds go toward team members traveling to Sam's Place and the work they will do while there. Stop by and check out what they have! It's for a GREAT cause!

You can also donate items to be sold. Bring all donations to the West building on Wednesday, from 6:30-8:30 pm and all day Thursday until 9:00 pm.

We will be featuring the students of Sam's Place. Each day leading up to the team's departure, we will share a picture of one child per day with a brief biography telling you a little bit about them. Make sure to check our social media platforms daily to see which student is featured that day.

Sam's Place Book Drive

Sam's Place is an orphanage in Kenya for deaf children. These children have been tossed aside because of their disability, but with love and caring from the people at Sam's Place, these children have learned how to communicate, read and be responsible citizens! The kids love their small library and enjoy reading in the evenings! Join us in providing new books for their library! Usborne Books & More will match all donations by 50%! Cash, check and credit cards accepted! So that Sam's Place receives 100% of your donations contact Dawn Deitmen (dmdlighthouse@gmail.com) or Holly Mims (hollymims@fun-with-books.com) with Credit Card information! Donate $10, $20 ,$30 ,$50 ,$100 or more! These kids will be blessed by it all!

PANCAKE SUPPER - Missions Fundraiser

When? This Wednesday - April 2, 2014 at 5:30 pm

Where? S. 11th & Willis Church of Christ, Abilene, Texas in our West Bldg. 

Hosted by the Sam’s Place Travel Team to benefit team members, Ted & Cecil Faye Pemberton and Mitchell Arnold.

Cost? $3 per person - proceeds will help cover travel funds for team members

Donations are welcomed.
